update on project

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven’t been that prolific in letting everyone know how I’m getting ready for my final project. Just wanted to run you though a few things I have been doing.

Last weekend was the Bates International Three Day Event and I was out at Horsley Park for 4 days and nights acting as the Media Assistant. The event was fantastic, unfortunately it was plagued with torrential rain and everyone ended up soggy by the end!

I want to use the content from this event in my final project and thanks to Tristan Parker I have collected some fantastic footage, both stills that look great and video we shot on the PD 170s from UTS. The rain made conditions pretty tough and a lot of the images have marks of rain and rain drops on lenses. Although I don’t really mind about that at this stage.

Tristan and I are getting ready to make 3 different short video clips for the Equiline screensaver – see www.ryarc.com/zusadownload

The first is a video / stills montage of the promotional event that was held at the races the weekend prier to the event. I co-ordinated this and Tristan was there to catch the whole thing in some great photos and also some HD video that was shot using the HD camera from UTS. It looks great and I will post some of the stuff up here to give you a preview.

The second piece is also video and it’s a highlights of the event piece with lots of action clips with titles that let you know the riders name and what country they represented. Its also got clips from the other things that where happening like the fashion parade (a laugh as it was transferred inside after the rain made the “water jump catwalk” a disastrous prospect!) the final presentations and interviews with the riders – including the international rider and winner of the Asia Pacific Challenge Trophy Major Patti, who I interviewed for the SBS producer who attended the event and shot a short piece for the Toyota World Sports program that went to air on Tuesday the 12th Sept at 7pm!

The last piece will be a flash piece that incorporates some of the more quirky elements of the event, also some pieces on the committee and the extra publicity that the event got.

So that’s about it for now … more coming soon! PLUS MEDIA

Kate
